Stopping Your Use of PKB
Record Ownership and Access
Your record in PKB remains yours, and you can access it exactly as before. PKB will not delete or remove your access to your record at any time.
Adding and Managing Personal Information
You can still add information such as measurements, allergies, and medicines. You also retain the ability to hold discussions with professionals from other organisations or carers you have personally invited into your record. Previous discussions with hospital professionals remain accessible, and you will keep all existing blood results and clinic letters already stored in the system.
Professional Interaction and Messaging
If a hospital or team stops using PKB, their professional access to your record is terminated. They will not see new information you add, and you will no longer be able to send them messages. Appointment messaging, including requests to reschedule or cancel will be disabled for that organisation, requiring you to contact them via traditional methods.
Future Test Results and Data Transfers
Automatic intregration of blood results, scans (MRI/CT), or clinic letters from the hospital will cease once they stop using the platform. However, you can maintain a complete history by manually adding any new results you receive to your PKB record.
Your Record Across Other Providers
PKB is designed for continuity. If you attend a different hospital or care provider now or in the future that uses PKB, they will link your existing record to their team, ensuring your medical history moves with you.
Account Deactivation
If you no longer wish to use your PKB record, you can contact your clinical team or organisation. They can request the removal of your email address, which prevents further notifications and disables your login. Note that deactivating your personal access does not necessarily stop clinical data entry; data may still enter your record depending on the organisations integration with PKB.
