Project Initiation Document
The Project Initiation Document (PID) is a crucial tool used by PKB to ensure smooth and successful project delivery. It serves as a foundational reference throughout the project's lifecycle.
The PID outlines key contacts, organisation objectives, and contract details while outlining key integration and features required. It is also an opportunity to discuss and document Outcomes and Business Case metrics when defining objectives.
Developed at the project's outset, the PID relies on the Sales Handover to reflect contractual agreements. Together, these documents provide essential details from the sales process, enabling the project team to scope and plan effectively.
If any information is missing, the project manager must address these gaps within the 30-day mobilisation period to ensure a solid project plan.
The PID is completed by the Success project manager attached to the project.
