Emilia is a patient scribe app that sends consultation summaries to a patient’s PKB record. Patients can connect their PKB account directly from the Emilia app settings. Once connected, Emilia automatically sends to the PKB record visit summaries after each consultation. These appear in PKB’s Events & Messages and Care Plans sections.
Linking your PKB account
New Emilia user
For patients who do not yet have an Emilia account, download the app for iOS or for Android. Register free of charge through the app.
Existing PKB user
For patients who already have an Emilia account but have not yet connected PKB.
Tap “Linked accounts” in the Settings menu.
Tap “Patients Know Best — Not connected” to start the connection.
Read how the integration works, then tap “Continue”.
Read the Privacy Policy, tick the consent checkbox, then tap “Continue to PKB log in”.
Enter your PKB credentials.
Tap “Approve” to grant access.
Your Patients Know Best account has been successfully linked. Tap “Manage linked account” to view details.
For Emilia users without a PKB account
If you don't have a PKB account, tap "Learn how to register".
Tap "Go to PKB website" to be redirected to PKB to register.
Follow the steps in PKB, then return to Emilia to complete the connection.
Managing your linked PKB account
For patients whose PKB account is already connected.
PKB status shows “Connected” with the connection date and last sent date.
View connection details, access the Privacy Policy, or tap “Disconnect account”.
Tap “Disconnect” to confirm. Future consultations will no longer be sent to PKB. Summaries already sent remain accessible.
Reconnecting your PKB account
For patients whose PKB session has expired.
A banner indicates that PKB sending is paused. Tap “Go to settings” to reconnect.
The “Linked accounts” row displays an expiry indicator.
PKB status shows “Expired”. Tap to manage.
A message indicates the session has expired. Tap “Reconnect” to resume.
Re-read the Privacy Policy, tick the consent checkbox, then tap “Continue to PKB log in”.
Enter your PKB credentials.
Tap “Approve” to grant access.
