Kiosk Mass Registration Of Patients

Kiosk Mass Registration Of Patients

What is Kiosk Registration

Kiosk registration enables patients to receive a PKB registration link when they check in for an appointment using a clinic kiosk. During check-in, the kiosk verifies the patient’s identity and collects their email address. When integrated with your PAS and the HL7 email feed is enabled, PKB automatically sends the patient an email invitation to register.

Why Use Kiosks

Kiosks are a convenient way to collect up-to-date patient information at a moment when patients are already thinking about their health while waiting to see a clinician. This makes it an ideal opportunity to invite them to register for PKB and engage more actively in their care.

How to Use Kiosks as a Registration Method

There are two ways to use kiosks for PKB registration:

  1. Automated Integration with PAS
You can customise your existing kiosk or work with your kiosk provider to enable this functionality. For automated PKB invitations, the kiosk must:

    • Be connected to your hospital’s PAS.

    • Have the HL7 email feed enabled.

This setup allows PKB to send registration emails automatically when a patient checks in.

  2. Manual CSV Uploads
If your kiosk is not integrated with PAS or does not support the HL7 feed, you can still use it to collect patient demographic data, including email addresses. This data can be:

    • Extracted as a CSV file, either as a one-time or regular upload.

    • Uploaded to PKB, which will then send out registration invitations.
